Coastal Fusion Dance Company
We are a pre-professional dance company dedicated to nurturing passionate, driven dancers who are ready to take their training to the next level. Our company offers an elite, focused experience for dancers seeking intensive development and opportunities beyond the typical studio setting.
Throughout the season, our dancers will work closely with renowned guest choreographers and teachers from across the industry. These experiences are designed to expose our dancers to a variety of styles, approaches, and professional expectation. Preparing them for careers in dance or higher-level training programs.
Programs Offered:
The Company (15-18)
The Coastal Fusion full program Dance Company will be made up of a select group of up to 12 dancers chosen through audition for their skill, artistry, and commitment. These dancers will represent the company in lyrical, contemporary, musical theatre, and hip-hop categories at competitions and performances. The 12 dancers selected for The Company will automatically participate in our Hip-Hop group, unless otherwise discussed.
If you have chosen to audition for the full program and the judges/director feel that you would be better suited for just the hiphop company, we may offer you a spot in just that company instead. Or if we feel you are a little behind in hiphop we will choose to allow you to be apart of the full program minus the hiphop group.
The Company (12-14)
The Coastal Fusion full program Dance Company will be made up of a select group of up to 8 dancers chosen through audition for their skill, artistry, and commitment. These dancers will represent the company in lyrical, contemporary, musical theatre, and may be invited to the hiphop group pending another audition.
If you have chosen to audition for the full program and the hiphop program and the judges/director feel that you would be better suited for just the hiphop company, we may offer you a spot in just that company instead.
Please take note that the Director has the right to allow a dancer from the younger group to be put in one or more of the older groups routines; if she feels it will benefit the dancer and the team.
The Hip-Hop company
Our Hip-Hop group brings high energy and fresh movement to every stage. We will accept up to 25 dancers, including all 12 members of the older primary company group and any additional dancers who try out specifically for this program.
The hiphop group focuses solely on hip-hop and street styles, training under specialized faculty and choreographers. They will represent the company in competitive and community-based performances.
Private lessons
$40 per hour, Private lesson spots are now open for September–December!
Spots will be limited and offered on a first come, first serve basis.

Meet the Director
Founder and Director
Dylan Anderson-kelly
Dylan Anderson-Kelly is the Founder, Director, and one of the Choreographers for the Coastal Fusion Dance Company. She is a passionate and experienced dance educator with over eight years of formal training at the Laszlo Tamasik Dance Academy and a prior nine years in competitive gymnastics. Her dedication to the art of dance is reflected in her seven years of teaching and four years of assisting classes before stepping into her full-time role as an instructor. Along with teaching, Dylan has choreographed extensively for Laszlo’s competitive teams and holds certifications in Hip Hop Dance, Acro Dance, and the International Dance Teaching Standards (IDTS).
In her work as a choreographer, Dylan focuses on building routines that emphasize technique and performance quality. This approach has led to recent success in the BC dance community, including receiving a number of Choreography Awards at regional competitions. Furthermore, her piece "Come on Eileen" was selected to be showcased at the Shine 2025 Gala. These milestones show her commitment to the craft and her ability to get dancers ready for high-level stages through consistent practice and a focus on the fundamentals of dance.
Using her extensive experience and certifications, Dylan provides clear and direct instruction in every class she teaches. She is dedicated to providing a hardworking and encouraging environment to help every dancer perform to their fullest potential. She believes in setting high standards while giving students the support they need to meet them. By focusing on a strong technical foundation and personal growth, Dylan ensures her dancers develop the confidence and resilience they need to reach their goals and find success in their future dance careers.

Coach and Advisor
Paige Anderson
Paige Anderson is one of the coaches and advisors of the Coastal Fusion Dance Company. she is a lifelong dancer, choreographer, coach, and multi-passionate entrepreneur who brings a wealth of experience from both the performing arts and professional business world.
Paige began dancing at the age of three, with a strong foundation in classical ballet, completing examinations in both the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) and Cecchetti methods. Throughout her youth, she furthered her training at some of Canada’s most respected dance institutions, including the Royal Winnipeg Ballet, Alberta Ballet, and the National Ice Dance Centre.
In addition to her ballet background, Paige trained extensively in jazz, modern, musical theatre, ballroom, and figure skating. As a competitive ice dancer, she reached 7th place nationally with her partner and later served as Head Coachof the Powell River Skating Club for eight years. She is a National Level 3 Certified Coach and IDTS Certified (International Dance Teaching Standards) instructor.
Her choreography and teaching have spanned both the dance and skating worlds, working with athletes and performers at the provincial and national level, as well as producing and choreographing ice shows, dance recitals, musicals, and opening ceremonies.
In 2014, Paige became the proud owner and director of Laszlo Tamasik Dance Academy. Under her leadership, the academy has grown into a vibrant and inclusive studio, known for providing exceptional training and creative opportunities for dancers of all levels. Paige was the artistic director of the Laszlo Tamasik dance Academy for 10 years..
The Coastal Fusion Dance Companyl is an extension of Paige’s lifelong vision: to create a supportive, empowering, and inspiring space for dancers to grow, perform, and celebrate their artistry in a professional and encouraging environment.
Meet The Choreographers
Buddy Mynatt
Art Buddy Mynatt was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana where he started his dance training at the age of 18. Soon after, he decided to move to Los Angeles, California, he received a dance scholarship at Tremaine Dance Center. At Tremaine, he trained under the most acclaimed and elite dance educators and choreographers in the entertainment industry in all styles of dance. After his scholarship term ended, he was invited to a private audition and then was chosen to dance and tour for “The New Power Generation Dance Co.” which was created by the world famous and iconic musical artist known as Prince. His next job landed him as the Assistant Choreographer and Dance Captain for an entertainment company where he toured all of Europe for over a year. When he returned to California, he auditioned and was the only one (out of over 60 other male dancers) chosen to work for the mega recording star, Christina Aguilera, where he was able to tour the world and perform on national televised shows like, “The David Letterman Show”, “The Grammys”, “The Jay Leno Show”, “The David Letterman Show” “Good Morning America”, “The American Music Awards”, “Miss America Pageant”, “The MTV Video Music Awards”, “The Super Bowl XXXII Halftime Show”, “Saturday Night Live”, and “The Rosie O’Donnell Show” to name a few. Buddy’s movie credit was dancing in the hit comedy movie, “Guess Who” with Bernie Mac and Ashton Kutcher. He also served as the Assistant Choreographer & performed in the “Wayne Brady Show” in Las Vegas. For the past 18 years, he has co-owned and taught dance at CR DanceXtreme Inc. in Campbell River, B.C. Today, Buddy continues to pursue his passion for dance through performing, teaching, choreographing, and adjudicating in the United States, Canada, and abroad.
Kaylin Bohmer
Kaylin Bohmer is a dance teacher and choreographer with over 7 years of experience, backed by a decade of competitive dance training. Before stepping into teaching, Kaylin competed at a high level for 10 years, including representing Hip Hop Team Canada at the 2017 World Championships in Denmark. Known for inspiring confidence, creativity, and discipline in dancers, Kaylin brings passion and professionalism to every class.
Abby Head
Abby Head is an Ottawa-based dance artist and choreographer. She grew up in Powell River where she trained in jazz, ballet, lyrical, contemporary, modern, tap and musical theatre. She
began competitive dance at age 10 and competed at various competitions throughout British Columbia, including attending the BC Performing Arts Provincials four times in Stage and
Modern Dance. Abby taught dance throughout high school and has been choreographing for the Laszlo Tamasik Dance Academy since 2017, creating over 100 pieces and winning various
choreography awards. She continued to dance in Vancouver while completing her Political
Science degree at the University of British Columbia. She choreographed a musical and was part of various groups including the Quill Collective Creative Cycle and UBC Dance Horizons Company.
Currently, Abby works as a Policy Analyst for the Government of Canada and is a company member and choreographer for Voices Dance Project, an interdisciplinary contemporary dance
collective in Ottawa. Creativity is at the heart of everything she does, and Abby is deeply grateful for the opportunity to choreograph for Coastal Fusion’s inaugural season. She is thrilled
to see such high-level training available in her hometown and looks forward to creating an emotional and inspiring lyrical piece.
